From Fast Cars to Family Moments | My Journey Into Portrait Photography

Back in 2017, while serving in the Marine Corps, I discovered my passion for photography. It all started when a friend showed me a photo he took, just a dimly lit piano in a dark room, his hands illuminated while the rest of his body was silhouetted in shadow. I looked at it and said, “You HAVE to teach me.” I’ve been hooked ever since. What started with automotive photography, chasing down angles of muscle cars, exotic rides, and the raw beauty of machinery, quickly grew into something more meaningful. After transitioning out of the military, I found myself more and more drawn to photographing people instead of engines. I started with maternity shoots, which opened the door to capturing families, couples, and lifestyle portraits. It didn’t take long for me to realize: I love this work because it’s real. It’s personal. It matters. Today, I specialize in portrait photography in Temecula and the surrounding San Diego area—maternity sessions, family photoshoots, and creative portraits for models and individuals who want something cinematic and timeless. My style leans heavily into storytelling, with every photo edited to feel like a still from a movie, custom to the person and the moment. No presets. No cookie-cutter edits.
